All About Giraffes: Post 1

When most people think of giraffes, they picture large four-legged mammals with long legs, a long tongue, and brown spots. However, giraffes can be categorized by the color and pattern of their spots! The most common type of giraffe is the reticulated giraffe.
The reticulated giraffe is native to Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The coat of the reticulated giraffe consists of large liver-colored spots outline by bright white lines
In addition to the reticulated giraffe, there are eight other subspecies. These giraffes are categorized according to their geographical locations and they can be identified by the differences in the color and pattern on their coat.
